The popular TV show, Discover Wisconsin, came to Calumet County recently to film footage for the February 2011 Discover Wisconsin episode that will take place in Calumet, Kewaunee and Winnebago Counties.

Tourism Spending in Calumet County
In 2009, visitors in Calumet County spent over $36 million and supported 855 full time jobs that are involved with tourism.
Summer continued to be the busiest season for tourism in Calumet County as many people visit Lake Winnebago, the trails, the caves at Ledge View Nature Center or are just biking through the county.
Overall, tourism spending in the entire State of Wisconsin was down due to the economy in 2009 but will hopefully improve in 2010. The State of Wisconsin Department of Tourism conducts this study every year.
Become a Ledge Explorer
Pick up a Passport to the Niagara Escarpment and let kids become a Ledge Explorer! The Passport is available at parks and nature centers along the Niagara Escarpment. Pick up the Passport at Ledge View Nature Center, High Cliff State Park and Calumet County Park in Calumet County.
If you visit 5 of the 9 sites listed in the Passport by November 13th, you get a patch! Visit www.fdlaudubon.org for more information!
